The UK’s first-ever public TV marathon crash lands in London

Avid followers of smash-hit TV series LOST are invited to test their dedication to the show by enduring the ultimate fan challenge, as they attempt to watch all 121 episodes back-to-back in the UK’s first ever public TV marathon.

The Lost Marathon will be held at Leicester Square’s Prince Charles Cinema from Monday 13th September– Thursday 16th September 2010 to celebrate the release of Lost The Final Season, available on Blu-ray and DVD on Monday 13th September.

From the heart-pounding opening episode to the suspense-filled finale, enthusiasts will face over 80 hours of continuous viewing in a bid to be crowned the last fan standing. Hoards of dedicated followers are expected to descend upon Leicester Square, but only the first 280 people through the doors of the cinema will be eligible for what will be the first event of its kind in the UK.

Fans are encouraged to take part dressed as their favourite characters from the show, armed with their very own survival packs including sleeping bags, pillows and packed lunches! A Lost goody bag packed full of merchandise will be awarded to each participant.

The Lost Marathon will commence at 10am on Monday 13th September 2010 and will continue constantly over 24-hour periods. If successfully completed, the final episode will air on the afternoon of Thursday 16th September 2010.

Woman on trial over DiCaprio wounds

A US judge ordered a woman to stand trial on a charge of slashingLeonardo DiCaprio's face with glass during a 2005 party.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Edmund Willcox Clarke ordered Aretha Wilson to face one count of assault with a deadly weapon.

The charge includes an allegation that Wilson, 40, caused great bodily injury.

Wilson was returned to Los Angeles in the five-year-old case.

She pleaded not guilty and remains jailed in lieu of 150,000 US dollars bail.

Wilson's lawyer Freddy Sayegh said the ruling was not unexpected and that Wilson vehemently professed her innocence. He expected the trial to begin within 60 days. She is due back in court on September 9.

Authorities said Wilson attacked Leonardo with a broken beer bottle, but a witness said it was a wine glass. The criminal complaint identifies the object only as glass.

If convicted, Wilson faces up to seven years in state prison.

The details and extent of the Hollywood actor's injuries were not made public, although the judge, who reviewed photos of the injuries to the star's ear and neck, said that"this would not be an injury that would be called trivial or moderate, in my view".

Those photos also were not made public.

Leonardo did not attend the hearing.

Angelina Jolie to direct love story

Angelina Jolieis set to make her directorial debut by getting behind the camera and in front of it for her latest project.

The picture is based on an original script by Jolie and will be produced by GK Films' Graham King and Tim Headington. Jolie recently finished production on GK Film's"The Tourist"alongsideJohnny Deppwhich is headed for a Dec. 10 release.

She’s set to start shooting at the end of the year and the film will follow a couple who are torn apart by the separation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Empire reported.

While in Sarajevo for UN duties, Jolie said:‘The film is a love story, not a political statement. (The cast) will feature various ethnicities of the former Yugoslavia.

‘I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can.’

Reports say Jolie will be taking the opportunity to direct as well as star as the female lead role but the set cast is not confirmed.

The untitled Bosnian romance will tell the story of a Serbian man and Bosnian woman who fall in love on the even of war between the two culture groups. Jolie plans on casting actors from various ethnic groups in the region for the film. There is no word on when Jolie will return to Bosnia to shoot the feature.

Jolie is solidifying her relationship with GK Films on yet another feature, an adaptation of the 2009 British TV mini-series"Unforgiven.""Usual Suspects"writer Christopher McQuarrie is adapting the project into a drama that would find the Oscar winner playing a woman trying to resume her life after being convicted for murdering two policemen. Unfortunately, the cops sons have revenge on their mind. Deadline reports the project is being fast-tracked for the actress, but there is no director attached and Jolie famously won't commit until after a script is completed.

Her most recent thriller,"Salt,"has grossed over $217 million worldwide to date.

Lohan released from rehab centre early

Lindsay Lohanhas been released from a rehabilitation centre after serving just 23 days of her court-ordered 90-day program.

The Mean Girls actress was jailed last month for breaching her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest.

Upon her release, after just 13 days, she was ordered to spend 90 days in rehab at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

But Lohan was discharged from the facility on Tuesday and will now receive outpatient care, according to TMZ.com.

Doctors at the centre reportedly told Judge Elden Fox, who is overseeing her case, that the star should be released from the hospital before the 90-day stint was completed.

While in rehab, doctors reportedly discovered that the actress doesn't suffer from ADHD or bipolar disorder, and that improperly prescribed Adderall might have been to blame for her erratic behavior.

Prior to her stint at UCLA's Medical Center, Lohan spent 13 days in jail at Los Angeles' Lynwood Correctional Facility. She was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days of in-patient rehab in July. According to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, good behavior on her part and overcrowding in L.A.'s prison system led to her early release from Lynwood.

And Lohan is already gearing up for her return to work: A source says she has plans to start filming her tango-themed move, Dare to Love Me, in Los Angeles on Oct. 15. Plus, says the source, despite reports suggesting Lindsay is an insurance liability for film studios, Lohan has been insured for this film.

"Lindsay will start her life over,"says the source."She's gotten rid of the people around her who were bad influences."

'Piranha 3-D: The Sequel' in the works

Strong reviews and a $10 million opening was enough for Dimension Films to get working on a sequel ofPiranha 3-D (2010). The studio confirmed today that plans for another bloody gore fest are in the works with director Alexandre Aja and producer Mark Canton re-teaming with Dimension.“We are thrilled that audiences are not just loving Piranha 3-D, but cheering for it,” says Canton. “And it’s fantastic that so many critics are really getting the movie and recommending it. We can’t wait to get to work on the sequel.”

He’s right about the critical response; most reviews (even the negative ones) have pegged it as silly fun. And it wasn’t exactly the most expensive film, costing approximately $24 million to make.

So expect the next one either next year or for 2012, and a jump in employment prospects for hungry, tooth-stuffed fish.

What would said sequel look like? No plotline has yet been decided, but Aja, when interviewed a couple weeks back, said the team has been throwing around a lot of different story lines.“We had many ideas, like the full moon party in Thailand — a huge event with like 200,00 young people from all around the world taking mushrooms and partying on the beach.” Ahh, a perfect environment for man-eating fish.

Lindsay Lohan To Leave Rehab Soon

Lindsay Lohan could be permitted to leave rehab after serving just 30 days of a court ordered 90-day treatment programme.

Lindsay Lohan's mother Dina Lohan says the actress will soon finish her latest stint in rehab and move back home to New York, adding that her daughter became friendly with"alleged murderers"during her recent time in jail, which she completed as part of her punishment for violating her probation in a 2007 drunken driving conviction.

The 'Mean Girls' actress - who is currently receiving treatment at the UCLA Medical Center as part of a sentence for breaching the terms of probation - had been rumoured to be leaving the facility yesterday (18.08.10) after completing just 17 days of her treatment, but will stay on at the clinic for a longer period of time.

A meeting yesterday (18.08.10) between Lindsay's lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley and the Deputy District Attorney met at the Beverly Hills Courthouse to discuss her ongoing case saw medics recommend that the 24-year-old star spend no more than 30 days at the centre.

Lindsay was initially ordered by Judge Marsha Revel to spend 90 days in prison followed by 90 days in rehab as punishment for violating the terms of her probation from a 2007 driving under the influence conviction.

However, the 'Freaky Friday' star served just 13 days of her jail term, transferring to the rehab clinic immediately afterwards.

Radcliffe 'reveals Hallows differences'

Daniel Radcliffehas revealed that the second part of the final Harry Potter film starts as a"heist movie".

The actor made the comment while discussing the differences between the two instalments ofHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I (2010)with Empire magazine.

On the first half of the final adventure, Radcliffe said:"The first one is a weird road movie kind of thing."

"Compared to the second part it's slower paced, but that's only relative. It's more of an exploration of the relationship between the characters. You see those friendships tested for the first time."

He continued:"The second one is this non-stop rollercoaster of battles and heists. It starts off as this heist movie and turns into this all-out war."

The point at which the two movies will be split was recently confirmed. Deathly Hallows: Part One‘will end at about Chapter 24 of the book, with Voldemort gaining possession of the Elder Wand, one of the three Deathly Hallows that allow the bearer to conquer death’.

That means that about two thirds of the door-step tome will be in the first instalment of the film.

Part two will therefore be based on the remaining 12 chapters of the novel, which will wrap up the whole saga.

Despite the split of the two films being revealed, the cliff-hangers have been a closely guarded secret.

Part one will be released in November, with the second following in July 2011.

January Jones for 'X-Men: First Class'

January Joneshas signed up to star in X-Men: First Class, it has been revealed.

According to Deadline, the Mad Men actress is to play Emma Frost, a telepathic mutant also known as the White Queen, whose allegiances continually shift throughout the X-Men comic book series. Frost did appear very briefly in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, where Tahyna Tozzi played a younger version of the character. In First Class, however, Variety is reporting that January Jones has been signed up to the role. Jones is best known for her work on Mad Men, where she plays Betty Draper.

Alice EveandRosamund Pikewere previously linked to the role, but Jones has apparently agreed to start shooting as soon as the fourth season of Mad Men wraps up in September.

Emma Frost was introduced in"Uncanny X-Men"#129 in 1980, created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne as The White Queen, a prominent member of the Hellfire Club, a group of wealthy mutants who used their power and powers to confound the X-Men, playing a key role in"The Dark Phoenix Saga."Later, Frost formed her own school for mutants, and her own team called the Hellions, before finally being brought into the X-Men fold by Charles Xavier (and writer Grant Morrison) and becoming a key member of the group for the past few years.

DirectorMatthew Vaughnalso announced that Zoe Kravitz has been cast as Angel, Bill Milner will play a young Magneto, and Morgan Lily is to portray the Young Raven.

They joinJames McAvoy,Michael Fassbender, Caleb Landry Jones, Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng Rose Byrne, Oliver Platt, Kevin Bacon and Jennifer Lawrence in the final cast list for the summer 2011 film.

Michael Douglas Has a Tumor in His Throat

Doctors have discovered that Michael Douglas has a tumor in his throat, his spokesperson has revealed.

The Oscar-winning actor, 65, will under go eight weeks of radiation and chemotherapy. His doctors expect the Wall Street star to make a full recovery, according to the spokesperson.

No word whether the lump in his throat is benign or malignant, but doctors have given Douglas an excellent prognosis and expect he'll make a full recovery.

"I am optimistic,"the 65-year-old actor said in a brief statement to People.

Douglas will next be seen onscreen reprising his role as disgraced moneyman Gordon Gekko in the anticipated sequel Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, due out Sept. 24.

In June, Douglas's son from his first marriage, Cameron, was sentenced to five years in prison for dealing methamphetamine and possessing heroin.

Douglas also has two children from his marriage to Zeta Jones, who he wed in 2000.

The actor is the son of film legend Kirk Douglas.

His other films include Romancing the Stone, The American President, Basic Instinct, Falling Down and Traffic.

Jason Flemyng joins 'X-Men: First Class'

Lock, Stock&Two Smoking Barrels starJason Flemynghas confirmed that he has landed a role in upcoming superhero prequel X-Men: First Class.

The 41-year-old actor revealed that he was awarded the part of teleporting creature Azazel by the film's director Matthew Vaughn, having appeared in all of his previous movies, including recent box office hits Kick-Ass and Stardust.

Flemyng revealed to Empire:"Matthew showed me my costume just the other day. Now I swore I’d never be in heavy make-up again, but this role is going to involve it. But at least they said, 'Don’t worry, we’ll add the tail in post production'."

He added that he would be red-skinned, as in the X-Men comics.

Nightcrawler, a blue-skinned, demon-tailed teleporter played by Alan Cumming in X-Men 2, is the child of Azazel and the blue-skinned shapeshifter Mystique.

With Jennifer Lawrence already announced as Mystique, it seems we will be seeing the origins of Nightcrawler too.

In the comics, Azazel was part of an exploration of Nightcrawler's past in The Draco six-issue storyline. He was leader of an ancient race of mutants who looked like demons and who were banished to another dimension.

Azazel was able to teleport to Earth for brief periods, impregnating women to try to create a link with this world that would enable him to return permanently.

As well as Nightcrawler, he fathered the mutants Abyss and Kiwi Black with other women.

Other confirmed cast members for X Men: First Class includeJames McAvoy,Nicholas HoultandKevin Bacon. The long-awaited film is due to be released in June 2011.

Cameron 'wants underwater Avatar sequel'

James Cameronsays that the follow-up to the highest grossing film of all time will take place underwater in the oceans of Pandora.

With the mega-blockbuster’s re-release approaching, details about the next two films have started to trickle out via the maestro himself, specifically Cameron’s hints that the second film will involve the oceans of Pandora. Given his water-related filmmaking experience (see“Titanic” and “The Abyss”), as well as his fondness for diving as a hobby.

"I think what we should do there is - because we'll have to have characters that are in and under the water - is that we should actually capture them underwater"

"We created a broad canvas for the environment of film. That's not just on Pandora, but throughout the Alpha Centauri AB system. And we expand out across that system and incorporate more into the story– not necessarily in the second film, but more toward a third film. I've already announced this, so I might as well say it: Part of my focus in the second film is in creating a different environment – a different setting within Pandora. And I'm going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won't be a rain forest. I'm not saying we won't see what we've already seen; we'll see more of that as well."

He added:"Diving for shooting a movie is work. Diving for exploration is a gas. I like to keep my peas and carrots separate."

Cameron recently suggested that he may film the franchise's second and third films back to back.

Regarding the re-release of the film and the extra nine minutes that will be added, the Oscar-winner said he’ll also be adding footage to the film’s eventual special edition DVD."We’re doing a longer version for the DVD that is 16 to 17 minutes longer,"he said,"but you’ll have the choice: You can watch the nine-minutes-longer version or you can watch the original if you want to."

DiCaprio Attacker Pleads Not Guilty

A woman accused of attackingLeonardo DiCapriowith a broken bottle at a Hollywood party in 2005 has pleaded not guilty to assault with a deadly weapon.

According to police, she mistook DiCaprio for a former boyfriend and attacked him with a bottle.

DiCaprio later filed a formal criminal complaint and a warrant was issued for Ms Wilson's arrest.

Aretha Wilson, 40, is expected to return to court August 23 for a preliminary hearing. Wilson, who fled to Canada and was extradited to the United States to face the charge, remains in a California jail.

She will face four years in jail if convicted. DiCaprio has reportedly stated that he is willing to take the stand against her if necessary.

DiCaprio, star of current hit movie"Inception,"suffered"great bodily injury'"when Wilson attacked him with a broken beer bottle, according to an arrest warrant.

DiCaprio required a dozen stitches to his face and neck following the attack.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Hilleri G. Merritt previously issued a protective order requiring Wilson to stay at least 500 yards away from the actor and two witnesses to the alleged attack.

Ms Wilson is accused of sneaking into a party hosted by Paris Hilton's former boyfriend, Rick Salomon.

Witherspoon In Talks For Peggy Lee Biopic

ActressReese Witherspoonis in talks to sing again on the big screen– in a movie about legendary entertainer Peggy Lee.

The actress, who won an Oscar in 2005 for portraying June Carter in"Walk the Line,"is pulling together an untitled biopic about Peggy Lee with writer-director Nora Ephron, reports Variety. Though Witherspoon is still negotiating to star, she is producing the Fox 2000 project with Marc Platt.

Witherspoon secured rights to the vocalist's life from the Lee estate and brought the project to the studio. She then approached Platt, who produced the"Legally Blonde"movies, and Ephron, who counts herself a major fan of Lee's music.

According to trade paper Variety, Witherspoon has enlisted Hollywood filmmaker Nora Ephron to write and direct the biopic, which the actress plans to produce and star.

The project will document Lee’s life until her death in 2002, including the late star’s singing and acting career.

Best known for her cover version of the Little Willie John song, Fever– to which she added her own additional lyrics – Lee was a product of the big band era, a singer, songwriter and composer whose career spanned nearly seven decades. Married four times, she died in 2002 at the age of 81.

The singer was one of the first members of Capitol Records'"old guard"to embrace the new rock and roll sound, often covering songs by the likes of the Beatles in the 1960s. She was also an accomplished actor, gaining an Oscar nomination for best actress in 1955 for her portrayal of a despairing, alcoholic blues singer in Pete Kelly's Blues.

Witherspoon has struggled to find critical acclaim since her Oscar win, appearing in duds such as Four Christmases. While Lee's life was not filled with obvious drama– four divorces and the death of her mother when she was a very young girl notwithstanding – it looks like typical awards-season-friendly material. The project will also see Witherspoon reuniting with producer Marc Platt, with whom she worked on the Legally Blonde series.

Witherspoon's last live-action role was in the 2008 comedy"Four Christmases."She returns to theaters in December with the James Brooks film"How Do You Know."Ephron last wrote and directed"Julie&Julia."

Watson 'cut hair for Dragon Tattoo role'

Emma Watsonchopped off her long locks to put herself in the running for the lead role in the Hollywood adaptation of"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)", according to a U.K. report. The"Harry Potter"star stunned fans when she debuted a short pixie crop earlier this month, but her new hairdo is believed to be more than just a change of style.

The 20-year-old, who showed off her new cropped hairstyle last week, has auditioned for the part of Lisbeth Salander in the Hollywood adaptation of Stieg Larsson's novel, reports The Sun.

A source said,"Emma has auditioned with director David Fincher and cut her hair to look the part. The character of Lisbeth is a misfit goth-type girl with spiky hair."Watson showed off her new look on her website, telling fans:"Cut my hair off a few days ago... Feels incredible. I love it. I've wanted to do this for years and years; it's the most liberating thing ever."

Watson, who recently finished filming her final scenes as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, has previously admitted that she is looking forward to trying new things.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is the first book in Larsson's Millennium Trilogy, and follows journalist Mikael Blomkvist's investigation into the 40-year-old disappearance of a teenage girl.

It was recently reported thatCarey Mulliganwas deemed"too clean-cut"to play Salander, whileKristen StewartandNatalie Portmanhave also distanced themselves from rumours linking them to the part.

'Twilight' dominates Teen Choice Awards

Twilight swept the board at LA’s glittering Teen Choice Awards with Rob, Kristen, Taylor and their cast mates totting up a whopping 13 awards between them.

The vampire romance took home gongs for 'Choice Movie: Fantasy' and 'Choice: Summer Movie', while stars Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan), Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) and Taylor Lautner (Jacob) were each honoured with individual acting awards.

Stewart and Pattinson also scooped trophies for 'Choice: Liplock' and 'Choice: Chemistry', while co-stars Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen) were named 'Choice: Scene Stealers' and Rachelle Lefevre (Victoria) was awarded 'Choice: Villain'.

Dressing down for her appearance on stage, Sandra Bullock stepped up to accept her Choice Actress Award for her role in the Blindside in leather trousers and a rock chick tee, joking to the audience she was older than most of the night’s other winners.

‘I don't know if you should bring attention to this. Some things are better left unsaid. It's been awhile since I was a teen,’ Sandy laughed.‘I'm so blessed and lucky. The Blind Side– I got to meet so many good people, so many good lessons I took away from it.’

She then invited 'sweet friend' Betty White up on stage, and the hilarious pair danced to Lil Jon's 'Get Low.'

Leonardo DiCaprio attacker given restraining order

A Canadian woman accused of attackingInception (2010)starLeonardo DiCaprioin the face with a beer bottle in 2005 was ordered on Wednesday to stay at least 500 yards away from the actor.

DiCaprio was at a private Hollywood party in June 2005 when he was hit on the side of his head with a broken beer bottle.

The injury sent the actor to the hospital, where he received about a dozen stitches to his face and neck

After fleeing to Canada, Ms Wilson was extradited to Los Angeles to face a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

The attack allegedly occurred as DiCaprio was leaving a small party at the Hollywood Hills home of Paris Hilton's ex Rick Salomon."As a result of the assault, Mr. DiCaprio suffered a laceration to the left side of his neck, requiring several sutures,"police said in a statement at the time.

She was ordered to not to contact, or come within 500 yds (457m) of DiCaprio.

Ms Wilson is accused of sneaking into a party hosted by Paris Hilton's former boyfriend, Rick Salomon.

According to police, she mistook DiCaprio for an ex-boyfriend and attacked him with the bottle.

DiCaprio later filed a formal criminal complaint with authorities and a warrant was issued for Ms Wilson's arrest after she failed to report to a police station.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Hilleri G Merritt ordered Ms Wilson back to court on 11 August, where she will face the charges.

The judge also raised her bail from $60,000 (£38,000) to $150,000 (£95,000) stating concern about her"willingness and ability to come back to court".

The prosecutor said Ms Wilson was on probation for a previous offence in Canada at the time of the attack.

Craig wants to resume Bond role soon

Daniel Craigis hoping work on the next installment in the James Bond franchise begins soon– because he doesn’t want to be away from the role“for too long”.

The British actor was scheduled to play 007 for a third time in the 23rd Bond movie, which was set for a 2011 or 2012 release date.

But production on the unnamed film has been suspended indefinitely due to uncertainty over the future of movie studio MGM.

Craig is keen for the problems to be resolved so he can head back on set– because he loves playing the superspy.

He tells Britain’s Daily Star,"The new Bond movie is on hold but I am chomping at the bit to get going on it as quickly as possible."

"I love playing Bond. I don’t want to be away from it for too long."

Captain America production heads for Manchester

America's First Avenger will battle his foes on the streets of Manchester and Liverpool during filming on the big-budget superhero film.

The story follows a young soldier called Steve Rogers, who volunteers to undergo a series of experiments and is transformed into a human weapon, known as Captain America.

Manchester's Northern Quarter is to be transformed into 1940s New York for a dramatic car chase in Captain America: The First Avenger.

It has been chosen by Hollywood studio Marvel Productions for the company's first film shoot outside the US.

The location was organised through the Vision+Media film office, based at Mediacity in Salford Quays, which brought the big budget production of Sherlock Holmes to Manchester and Liverpool.

Susan Williams, drama liaison manager, said the company was approached by the studio, which is also behind the successful Spider Man and Hulk films, in February.

"Manchester's Northern Quarter is one of our most popular filming locations in city, thanks to its versatility,"she said.

"The area was a convincing Victorian London in Sherlock Holmes last year and more recently it became 1980s Soho for the BBC's Worried About The Boy drama."

"We suggested the area to Marvel as its wide streets, towering buildings and pre-war architecture will make the perfect 1940s New York."

Residents, local businesses and Manchester City Council have all been consulted about the production, which will last about two weeks from mid September.

"We believe that projects such as this provide significant financial benefits for the region, providing opportunities for hotels, catering outlets and the regions talented production crew,"Ms Williams added.

Details of scenes due to be filmed at Liverpool's Stanley Dock are yet to be finalised.

The big-budget film will tell the origin of Captain America, one of Marvel's most iconic superhero comic book characters.

Sandra Bullock Tops Highest-Paid Actress List

It may have been a rough year for superstarSandra Bullockon the personal front, but she has come out on top as she has become the highest paid actress in Hollywood. The Academy award winning actress saw off competition fromReese WitherspoonandCameron Diazto top Forbes magazine's

best-paid actress list.

The Oscar winner, 46, has been named Hollywood's highest-paid actress by Forbes magazine, with an estimated $56 million in earnings from June 2009 to June 2010.

Forbes compiled the list after calculating their upfront fees for movies, back-end box office profits and money earned from signature perfumes, clothing lines and other endorsements.

The Oscar-winning-actress took a lower fee than usual to star in 'The Blind Side' in exchange for a larger share of the film''s profits, a gamble that paid off

Bullock, who was the eighth most powerful star in the magazine's annual Celebrity 100 list, sits at the top for a good reason: Her romantic comedy The Proposal grossed $320 million at the box office on a $40 million budget and The Blind Side scored an impressive $310 million.

Securing Bullock's top spot were her roles in The Proposal and The Blind Side, which won the star her first Oscar last year (09), for best leading actress.

Witherspoon and Diaz followed, each earning $ 32 million.

The pair is followed by Jennifer Aniston in fourth place with $ 27 million and Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker, who ranks fifth on the list with $ 25 million.

Charlie Sheen Ordered to 30 Days in Rehab

Charlie Sheenpleaded guilty Monday to assault in a Christmas Day argument with his wife in exchange for the withdrawal of more serious charges.

Sheen, star of"Two and a Half Men"on CBS, was sentenced to 30 days in a rehabilitation center, 30 days of probation and 36 hours of anger management. He has 30 days to report to the Promises Treatment Center in California.

Sheen, dressed in a dark suit, shirt and purple tie, entered the Pitkin County Courthouse after waving and blowing kisses to the crowd outside, and flashing a peace sign.

"I'm very grateful to the court and to the people of Pitkin County,"he said in a statement after the hearing."I look forward to complying with the court's decision, getting on with my life and putting this behind me."

His wife, Brooke Mueller Sheen, had told police he had put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her during a row on Christmas Day 2009.

He denied the claims, and more serious charges were dropped in a plea bargain.

Within a week of Sheen's arrest, he and Mueller Sheen both said they wanted to reconcile. In February, they hugged in an Aspen courtroom after a judge modified a restraining order that kept them from contacting each other.

Since the incident, both have completed alcohol rehab programs, and Galanter has said they've been sober for months.

The 44-year-old was put on probation and told to undergo 36 hours of anger management.

He was told to attend the Promises Treatment Center in California, which specialises in drug and alcohol addiction.
